strata-X-C has a strong cation exchange group uniformly bonded on the polymeric surface unlike traditional silica-based mixed-mode sorbents that are blended, completely eliminating recovery or reproducibility problems.

strata-X-C provides strong retention of basic compounds. The mixed-mode mechanism can also be used to fractionate basic compounds from acidic and neutral impurities

Learn more about strata-X-C

Cation Exchange

strata-X-C

Selectivity: mixed-mode selectivity that incorporates the reversed phase selectivity of strata-X and the strong cation exchanger
  • Clean up of basic compounds
  • Fractionation of bases from acidic and neutral impurities

strata-X-CW

Selectivity: mixed-mode selectivity that incorporates the reversed phase selectivity of strata-X and the weak cation exchanger
  • Clean up of strong bases such as quaternary amines
  • Fractionation of bases from acidic and neutral impurities

WCX

Selectivity: unique selectivity of carboxylic acid (CBA) bonded to silica surface.
  • Extraction of quaternary amines.
  • Extraction of strong cations.

SCX

Selectivity: surface bonded benzene sulfonic acid group for the retention of organic bases from biological and aqueous sample matrices.
  • Extraction of 1°, 2° and 3° amines from biological fluids.
  • pi-pi selectivity of benzene ring allows for some hydrophobic retention of analytes.

Screen-C

Selectivity: incorporates the selectivity of a C8 plus a strong cation exchanger to give mixed-mode retention for target analytes.
  • Extraction of basic drugs from biological matrices such as blood, serum and urine.
  • Available in gravity flow format, 200 µm particle size (Screen-C GF), for viscous samples such as horse urine and plasma.

Anion Exchange

strata-X-AW

Selectivity: mixed-mode selectivity that incorporates the reversed selectivity of strata-X and the weak anion exchanger
  • Clean up of strong acids such as phosphonates
  • Fractionation of acidic compounds from basic and neutral impurities

WAX

Selectivity: NH2 bonded to silica surface to give retention mechanism by either hydrogen bonding or weak anion exchange.
  • Extraction of strong anions from aqueous solvent.
  • Extraction of biomolecules.

SAX

Selectivity: unique selectivity of a quaternary amine (always charged), which allows for retention of analytes from biological and aqueous matrices.
  • Extraction of organic acids.
  • Extraction of biomolecules.

Screen-A

Selectivity: incorporates the selectivity of a C8 plus a strong anion exchanger to give mixed-mode retention for target analytes.
  • Extraction of acidic drugs from biological matrices such as blood, serum and urine.
