Purity
Strata tubes, frits and sorbents are individually batch tested for purity by GC, prior to and following assembly. Testing by GC ensures clean, leachate-free extracts, meeting the most stringent requirements for trace analysis.

3g of material from randomly selected lots were packed into glass tubes with Teflon frits, and a series of 4 elution solvents were used to extract the impurities.
Recovery
Consistently high recoveries of target analytes and the effective removal of contaminants are dependent on sorbent specificity and extraction efficiency. Sophisticated techniques are used to characterize the physical and chemical properties of Strata sorbents before and after bonding.
Bulk Strata sorbents are packed into an HPLC column and up to 11 probes are used to verify the retention characteristics of each lot. Tubes are then compression packed by highly calibrated robotics, resulting in sorbent beds with high efficiencies and virtually invariable masses.
Product Selection
Strata tubes are constructed of ultrapure medical-grade polypropylene with Luer-tipped syringe barrels. This industry standard configuration means Strata can be processed using vacuum manifolds as well as automated workstations. Sizes include 1, 3, and 6mL reservoir volumes.
Strata sorbent chemistries include a complete range of high performance non-polar, polar and ionic phases, both silica and polymer-based in masses ranging from 50 to 1000mg.
